Privacy policy
Draft dated October 20, 2026
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and the name you give us.
- Your books: interviews, notes, Story Bible entries and manuscripts.
- Voice recordings, only if you choose to keep original audio.
- Usage records needed for billing and security, such as sign-ins and AI usage.
Who can see your books
Only you, and the people you explicitly share a book with. Storyborn staff cannot browse your projects through our tools. Publishers see only the frozen versions you submit to them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Files are stored privately and shared only through short-lived links. Privileged staff actions are logged.
Retention and deletion
- Books in trash can be restored until you delete your account. Automatic trash clean-up will be announced before it starts.
- Deleting your account removes your profile and every book you own.
- Security logs are kept for up to two years, with your identity removed after account deletion.
Your controls
From your account page you can download all your data or delete your account.
